Colorguard

Both the indoor and outdoor colorguard are all inclusive. All students are welcome to participate. Perform with the LBJ Jaguar Marching Band at competitions and football games. All members have the opportunity to join them on any trips such as Italy, Florida, and Lost Pines. The upcoming trip for the 2015-2016 season will be to San Francisco. Summer rehearsals start in late July and continue every weekday until the start of school. Check the LBJ Band Calendar for specific dates. After school starts, marching season begins with rehearsals Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday or Friday depending on when the football game is for that week. There are about 3-4 competitions on Saturdays. Costs include: equipment fee, program fees, meals, accessories, shoes, gloves, and equipment bag (fundraising available)

After the marching band season, there’s another component called winterguard. Winterguard is completely indoors and the LBJ Winterguard competes in competitions with the Texas Color Guard Circuit (TCGC). This year, there will be 6 competitions (the dates will be posted). Winterguard gives members an opportunity to experience another side of colorguard. New members are welcome to join.
